Friday Five: Hasty Pudding Edition

Songbird says: "Our regular poster, Sally, having been oppressed by Blogger today, I bring you a hasty Friday Five on the subject of pudding. If you are not a fan of pudding, then you will feel solidarity with Sally, except that you will be oppressed by pudding instead. ;-)"
1) First of all, thumbs up? or thumbs down? Do you like pudding? Love it! All flavors.
2) Instant or cooked? (Does anyone make pudding from scratch?) Cooked preferred but eat instant because...well...it's instant!
3) If you had to choose, would you prefer corn pudding or figgy pudding? Never had either as far as I know, would give them both a go!
4) Have you ever finger painted with pudding? But of course, I like to play with my food.
5) Finally, what is the matter with Mary Jane? Too long on her diet, perhaps?

Bonus: Share a favorite recipe that includes pudding! My mother's Sour Cream Raisin Pie...which no one since she left us has been able to duplicate!

Now that sounds like a very interesting pie...my grandmother made a raisin spice cake with caramel frosting that is actually delicious....and I have the recipe, may have to make it...

My grandmother made it also...but what "the family" cannot reproduce is her homemade baked macaroni and cheese.

Huh, I wonder what would be in that?

My grandmother made the most heavenly butter tarts in the universe. Really. No recipe - she took the secret with her, may she rest in peace.

Great play. I wonder when their is no recipe for a family favorite is because grandmother didn't have one. She just threw it together, and there were not measurements?

I also love the picture on your sidebar of the two women bearing one another's burdens. Wow.
