A simple trip to the yoga mat. Child's pose. Often a tricky one. Sometimes the trigger for deep oceans of prayer, opening to waves of Spirit. Or torrents of tears coming from some primal place so deep and raw it's staggering.
The lectionary this morning. John 5:1-18. "Do you want to be made well?" Oh.
Sometimes God is doing a new thing. Sometimes God is mucking about in very old things to transform them and perhaps, finally once and for all release them and set the captive free. Either way it can be a scary, messy business.
Work can be salvific. The Life of the Mind and demands of the syllabus provide a safe retreat today; a welcoming place for my head to stay busy and focused while my soul rests from the storms.

yes, love your words and thoughts...
There are times when the soul needs time to breathe and rest. May you rest well. The time will come when the soul is ready.

You write so beautifully! I feel your words in my heart. Thank you so much for sharing.
Storms. I think we must live in the same storm path pattern. It has been a long stretch of rain and thunderstorms.
Oh. And I mean the weather too.
Lovely reflection birthed from Child's Pose, one of my favorite.
Thank you for this.
Welcome to revgals!
