The Second Date for Kate

Monday I got very brave and sent R an e-mail inviting him to join me for an outdoor concert in our local park tonight. I hadn't heard from him since the coffee date and really wasn't sure how I felt about making the first move, but I decided to stop being twelve for a minute or two and put on my big girl panties and give it a whirl. As of noon today I still hadn't heard anything and was ready to give it up as a bad idea, when I got his e-mail accepting! So we went tonight and had a very nice time listening to a group from the Big City that both us know from listening to Prairie Home Companion on MPR. We chatted between songs and at the break and walking back to his car afterwards. It was, as the first time, easy and comfortable being together. We found more things in common and we laughed a lot. We decided there will be a third date in a couple weeks as our schedules permit. We are going dancing.

Oh, dancing sounds good.

I really like the way you are approaching this, slowly but not too slowly, with an emphasis on commonality and friendship.
